  Michael Lombard

Michael graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In 1977 he received a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Michael joined The Lombard Company in 1977 as project superintendent where he was responsible for onsite management of building projects.

In 1980 he became General Superintendent and was responsible for onsite and office management of various major building projects. In 1983, Michael was named Vice President of Construction, directing overall field operations and the safety program. He held that title until 2003 when he took on the responsibilities of President and Chief Operating Officer of The Lombard Company.

Michael is licensed professional engineer in the State of Illinois, a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.

He served the Builders Association of Greater Chicago as director from 1992 through 1999, serving as board president in 1998. Previously he served as chairman of their productivity committee.

He was a scheduling seminar presenter for the Construction Employers Association from 1983 through 1992. He served as an instructor and text book committee member for the National Association of Women in Construction from 1980 through 1984.

Michael served on a recycling municipal task force for the City of Palos Heights. He also filled out a term on the city’s recreation advisory board.

He has served on a financial task force and building advisory committee for Palos Community Consolidated School District 118.

Michael was a Junior Achievement volunteer for 6 years.

He has been on the board of directors of Metropolitan Family Services Southwest in Palos Hills since 1987. He also currently serves on a Community Leadership Council for SERTOMA in Alsip and a Community Advisory Board for Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights.
